Job Description:

We have been retained to identify a Senior Counsel, Mergers and Acquisitions to join Dow's talented legal team at their Midland, MI world headquarters. This position reports directly to the Managing Counsel of M&A, whom we recruited to the company four years ago and who will be a great mentor. This unique role offers the opportunity to work closely with the corporate executives and finance team on deals. It is hybrid - in the office 3 days a week - with great work-life balance, especially for an M&A lawyer.

This position involves substantial responsibility for domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other complex commercial transactions. 5-10 years of legal experience, including at least 4 years of M&A expertise is required. You should be accustomed to leading large ($100M+) transactions from inception through close.

This role requires a self-starter who is flexible, responsive, highly motivated, and eager to learn. It offers some of the most sophisticated work in the company, including venture capital and finance matters. You will need to exhibit good judgment and a high level of integrity while working with and supervising outside counsel.

A team-oriented approach is essential to fit within Dow's collaborative legal department, which places a strong emphasis on engagement and respect for all team members. In this hands-on role, you must be a confident and skilled negotiator, risk astute, and possess excellent business acumen and problem-solving skills.

Relocation assistance will be provided, along with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

All inquiries will be held in strict confidence.
