CLS is conducting a retained search for a Vice President, Corporate Counsel (Remote) on behalf of ServiceLink, an innovative, technology-driven, premiere provider of mortgage services whose clients comprise the top 20-30 lenders and servicers in the nation.
ServiceLink is seeking a talented real estate or commercial contracts attorney with an exceptional work ethic and a history of successful experiences to join their collaborative legal team. This position reports directly to the General Counsel, whom we recruited to the company 16 years ago. This unique role offers strong mentorship, work/life balance, and substantive contact with senior executives.
3-6 years of legal experience (law firm or in-house) is required, and experience in real estate-based legal transactions and management or working with lenders, creditors or mortgage servicers is ideal. A team-oriented approach is also integral to this "serve-first" culture that is pulling together to serve the client. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, take action, and maintain ownership of high-level results.

DETAILED JOB DUTIES
- Provide advice and counsel to ServiceLink Senior Management on business, contract, and corporate legal matters involving title insurance and residential mortgage loan settlement services, services related to the foreclosure and disposition of properties in default, and vendor contracts.
- Creation, review and negotiation of master services agreements, service level contracts, statements of work, non-disclosure and similar agreements.
- Preparation of corporate legal documents.
- Mange litigation brought by or against ServiceLink.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Juris Doctorate degree.
- In good standing of at least one State Bar Association.
- 3-6 years’ experience in real estate based legal transactions and management, or working with lenders, creditors, or mortgage servicers.
- Experience with or ability to analyze and provide guidance on the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Truth In Lending Act, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proven ability to develop working relationships at multiple levels of the organization.
- Ability to be self-directed and motivated.
WORK CONDITIONS
This position will work primarily on a remote basis, with in-person attendance at ServiceLink’s office for periodic Legal Department meetings and Company events. Ability to work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance.
