Location:  Kentucky
Job Code:  181107
Job Description:

Our client, a large national law firm, has engaged us to identify an attorney with 8+ years of environmental experience for its practice in Kentucky.  This is a unique opportunity to join a reputable environmental group at a firm with a national geographic platform as well as a rate structure that is conducive to growing a practice.  Candidates who have some portable business are ideal.  This attorney will work closely with the head of the firm’s environmental group and be part of a collaborative and collegial team that provides regulatory, transactional, litigation and administrative support to clients nationwide.

Substantive experience with Clean Water Act and RCRA matters is a must for this role.  Knowledge of environmental issues affecting coal-fired electric utilities (e.g., regulation of coal combustion residuals) would be beneficial as well, but is not required.  Candidates must have strong interpersonal and presentation skills as they will be actively involved in client pitches and will be entrusted with maintaining and growing existing relationships with key clients.  This attorney must be licensed in Kentucky or eligible to waive in.
